At Ladybug House, we run a range of small group programs throughout the year including weekly social groups, school readiness programs, literacy groups and fine motor skills groups.
Our neuroaffirming groups welcome and support neurodivergent people by recognising neurological differences as natural variations of human diversity rather than deficits. The group prioritizes acceptance, autonomy, and mutual respect, creating a safe and inclusive space where members can socialize without pressure to mask or conform to neurotypical norms.
Each program is tailored depending on the children involved, but all of our groups aim to build children’s confidence and teach a range of skills so they can interact more successfully in different settings and build meaningful relationships with their peers.
Children are grouped together of similar age and language level. We offer a range of programs for pre-school children aged 3-5 years throughout the year and for children aged 5-7 years during the school holidays. Our group programs are run by our multidisciplinary team, including Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. They work on building specific skills whilst completing activities the kids enjoy.
