Paediatric Occupational Therapist Wanted!
If you went into Occupational Therapy to change the world rather than hide behind it, then read on. You will be intrinsically motivated to help families who have children with special needs and be part of a cause that looks at ways to make a difference. In return for your determination and innovation, you will benefit from:
Sensible caseload, empowering you to give your best to clients
Great team, work within a supportive collaborative environment
Where is the Role?
We need an Occupational Therapist to work in our Mudgeeraba practice 1 day per week
What type of employment is on offer?
We are looking for the right person to take on a contractor role.
What is the caseload like?
Gain diverse clinical experience and further your knowledge with a varied caseload including assessments/therapy, social skills groups and therapy for children with ASD. Therapy location varies from Ladybug House, home visits or the child's place of education. If you have a special interest in the field of paediatrics we are happy to support it.
Why should you trust Ladybug House?
We are a family business and care about the well being of our team. We have been operating since 2013 in Melbourne and and 2017 on the Gold coast and have built up a strong word of mouth reputation. We are a humble organisation and try our best and we acknowledge that we are not perfect, but we are using all experiences to improve the way we work. We look to support our therapists in their interests and are working with partners in related fields to make a difference. Last year one of our therapists ran a workshop for disadvantaged children in Singapore. We actively give back to the community and are currently providing free speech therapy screening to 55 children at a child care centre on the Gold Coast.
We want you to be part of the Ladybug House family. In doing so, your work will be more meaningfully connected with the families that come through the house.
Our management philosophy is family orientated. You are part of a family, you are not treated as a cog in an organisational wheel. We actively support you and have your back when you need us the most. We help you learn from your experiences and support innovative approaches without the unrealistic expectations of perfection. We are a humble organisation that does its best to provide the highest level of care and support for the children that we see. We are a grassroots organisation with no bureaucracy, titles or hierarchy, we just want to help children reach their potential and want families to participate. If you need a title, a brand or status this is not the job for you.
We deliver services that make a real difference to many families, we know because families tell us. That's why we exist. The meaning in our work relates directly to those feelings. Consequently, our business has been built on word of mouth and we have worked hard for every family.
